There is no way around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spaced-repetition is the best way to study them. They&#8217;re spaced so you see them when you&#8217;re about to forget them. HanBan is the main Chinese language body, so you can trust them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memrise uses examples, audio and images to help you remember the words, which is great as a start. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Intermediate\/Advanced<\/em>: <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.ankiweb.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Anki<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Download Anki on your phone or computer, it&#8217;s well worth it. Once again, we recommend you use the <a href=\"https:\/\/ankiweb.net\/shared\/info\/1907668496\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HSK decks<\/a> for study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It allows for much for customisation and &#8216;freedom&#8217; than Memrise. We&#8217;ll likely cover best-practices in another post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other resources: LingoDeer, Drops, StudyStack<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tue 5min reading<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Beginner\/Intermediate\/Advanced: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maayot.com\/\">maayot<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register for the best <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maayot.com\/\">Chinese graded reader.<\/a> You&#8217;ll be getting a story in Mandarin Chinese in your email inbox every day tailored to your level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read it in a few minutes. It&#8217;s a great way to see characters in context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have some time left, each story also comes with a recording. There&#8217;s no harm in you listening to it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Thu 5min listening<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Beginner\/Intermediate\/Advanced: <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hemingwayapp.com\/Beginner\/Intermediate\/Advanced:\">CSLPod<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one is simple. Why? Because you&#8217;ll need someone to correct your pronunciation.<br><br>As you know, tones in Mandarin are critical. Get one wrong, and your sentence loses its meaning.<br><br>With a language exchange app like Tandem, you can find other language learners and talk away!<br><br>Focus on finding someone that will correct as many of your mistakes as possible. Help them too with the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other resources: iTalki, HelloTalk<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sat 5min writing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>for handwriting<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Beginner\/Intermediate\/Advanced: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.skritter.com\/\">Skritter<\/a><br><br>If you&#8217;re looking to know how to handwrite characters, Skritter is a safe choice.<br><br>Like most apps, they have characters packs to ensure studies are for your level.
