In any of the cultures, a sincere friendship means great value to people. Sometimes, a good friend is like our family member. As human being, develop and maintain friendship has been a very important part of our life. There are many types and levels of friendship: friend, good friend, best friend, childhood friend, girlfriend and boyfriend etc. In Chinese, there are also many different words to describe the friendship. 1. <\/strong>\u670b\u53cb(Friend)\uff1ap\u00e9ng y\u01d2u<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u670b\u53cb\u201d is a common word to describe friendship. It refers to people who have a relationship with each other. But the degree of the relationship is not reflected in the word. Friends can also refer to people in romantic relationships — boyfriends or girlfriends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word \u201c\u8001\u94c1\u201d is derived from the dialect “\u94c1\u54e5\u4eec”, is the short version of \u201c\u94c1\u54e5\u4eec\u201d. \u201c\u8001\u94c1\u201dnow is more commonly seen in online communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word “\u6b7b” is not a pleasant word in Chinese, but in terms of a friendship, \u201c\u6b7b\u515a\u201d is someone who has a really, really good relationship. They are friends who are loyal to each other, who trust their friends unconditionally, and who will do anything for each other. The term can be used between both males and females.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Chinese, there is a saying of \u201cIt’s really easy to get thousands of money but hard to find a confidant\u201d. Therefore, there is a very special and deep level of friendship between \u201c\u77e5\u5df1\u201d. It is more often used in written language, rarely used in spoken language between friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
